This notice covers the root hexisteme site and /notes/. Separately named apps and the SEO hub have their own behavior and policies.
The site is served by GitHub Pages. GitHub describes the information it processes in the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
Every page under /notes/ currently loads GoatCounter. It can record the visited path, referrer or campaign, browser and device information, and an approximate location derived from the request. The root home page and these site-information pages do not load GoatCounter. Its data practices are described in the GoatCounter privacy documentation. Retention depends on the service and account configuration.
Notes link to a newsletter hosted by beehiiv. The outbound URL includes campaign parameters and an article identifier so subscription interest can be attributed to the page that sent the reader. If you follow the link or subscribe, beehiiv handles that interaction under the beehiiv privacy policy. The parameters identify the source page, not a name or email address.
Some project pages link to or load resources from third-party services. Following an external link sends you to that service. Product-specific pages may provide a more specific policy for their own features. This notice does not replace those policies.
Google ads are not currently displayed on the home page or Engineering Notes. We are applying to AdSense; this notice will describe advertising and consent choices before ads are enabled.
