What Vendors Actually Charge is a static reference site about published vendor pricing. This page describes what actually happens to data when you read it — as the site is built today, not as it might be built later. The date above moves when the behaviour changes.
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no accounts, logins, or comment forms. Nothing you type into the worksheet calculator leaves your browser. The only data that reaches anyone is what any web server necessarily sees to deliver a page, plus whatever you choose to hand to a third party by following a link.
Nothing. There is no analytics script, tag manager, pixel, or first-party cookie on any page. The only scripts an
article page carries are application/ld+json blocks — machine-readable descriptions of the article for search
engines. They do not execute in the ordinary sense and they do not observe you.
The site is served by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives the IP address, user agent, and requested URL of every request in order to deliver the page, and may retain those in its own server logs. That processing is GitHub's, under GitHub's Privacy Statement. We do not receive, query, or store those logs.
Article images are loaded directly from Pexels (images.pexels.com). Your browser therefore makes a request
to Pexels when such a page loads, and Pexels sees that request the way any host would. Nothing else is passed to them.
Articles link to vendors' own published pricing pages so that every number can be checked against its source. Those are ordinary links.
Two pages on this site — the invoicing software and subscription billing comparisons — additionally carry a partner link to Wise Business, marked (Partner). Opening an account through it may earn us a referral commission at no extra cost to you. That link is a referral URL: Wise can tell that the visit came from this site. It is disclosed in place on those pages as well as here, and it changes nothing about the published rates the articles report — the rates come from each vendor's own pricing page, cited with the date it was checked.
The worksheet page includes a calculator. It runs entirely in your browser: the figures you type are held in the page while it is open, are never transmitted anywhere, and are gone when you close the tab. There is no server behind it.
The worksheet page links to a newsletter hosted by beehiiv. If you follow that link and subscribe, you give your email address to beehiiv, and beehiiv processes it under beehiiv's privacy policy. We never see the address as part of the link.
That link carries UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and
utm_content). utm_content names the article you arrived from. Their only purpose is to tell us
which article sends readers who find the newsletter worth subscribing to. They describe the page, not you: they contain no
identifier of any kind, and they are identical for every reader arriving from the same article.
This site currently shows no advertising and contains no advertising code. If that changes, a section naming who serves the ads and what cookies they set will be added to this page before the first ad is served.
The site is not directed to children, and it collects nothing, so it holds no children's data.
Because this site holds no data about you, there is nothing here for us to access, correct, export, or delete. Requests about host logs go to GitHub; requests about a newsletter subscription go to beehiiv; requests about an account you opened with a vendor go to that vendor.
When the site's data behaviour changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
